Our favorite part of The Licorice Project is the people whose lives are positively impacted by what we do. Here are a few of them, sharing their experiences.   [su_quote cite=”Elizabeth (breast cancer survivor)”]The Licorice Project has helped me through the toughest year of my life. It’s a great place to connect with when you are feeling overwhelmed with this disease. Instead of feeling like you are the only one with cancer, you feel like you are part of a community of women. It has gotten me in touch with other women who are going through the same thing I am going through or in many cases, have already “been there and done that” and are willing to share their stories and their advice. [/su_quote]   [su_quote cite=”Maureen (breast cancer survivor)”] I know I could call anyone connected to this group with a question about anything and they will help find an answer.  It is a fun group of women who deal with difficult topics. [/su_quote]   [su_quote cite=”Julie (breast cancer survivor)”] The night before I started my chemo treatments I was surrounded by a community of women who had all been through what I was about to go through. They all had been touched by The Licorice Project and they all supported me. It was the best place for me.  Not only was I introduced to these women through The Licorice Project but a few have become close friends. The Licorice Project has changed my life with new friendships and relationships.[/su_quote]   [su_quote cite=”Sarah (supporter)”] What a wealth of information you have compiled and so generously shared–a thousand thanks! Katie, you have been the ‘it’ person for Julie at this initial stage immediately following her diagnosis. You were the person to help her re-set her compass now that she is on this difficult path. So this is a thank you note–and also an enormous vote for you in your spirit around and tremendous generosity in designing The Licorice Project and making it a reality. It is a gift and has already been so helpful! Kudos to you and your collaborators. [/su_quote]
